I just replaced my alternator with a new one and it still does not charge when it gets hot, it's a 140 amp alternator, I also changed the battery wire to a #4 gauge, what seems to be the problem?

Some alternators have a thermal cutout so when they get hot they stop charging to protect the alternator from burning up. You can help keep your alternator cool with the QuikCool Alternator Cooling System. You can read more about it at www.alternatorparts.com
