I have a 1992 Chevy Camaro. The battery wire to the alternator is getting hot and burning up at the Alternator connection. I made a 8 gauge wire jumper to test the Alt to Bat cable but that heated up as well. It seems to stay cooler with a lesser load. When I run the AC it keeps getting hotter. People have told me to check the ground. I'm planning to change the Negative Battery cable to ground and also check the body ground. Do you think this will fix the problem, or is there something else it could be? By the way, the Battery and the Alternator are new.
