1997 Chevy Blazer Alternator Conversion

Before and after pictures showing the 105 amp CS-130D alternator replaced by the CS-144 single rectifier alternator with wiring harness adapter on the 1997 Chevy Blazer 4.3 V-6 engine. Installing the CS-144 single or dual rectifier 140, 170, 200, 250 and up to 350 amp alternators is as easy as, CS-130D out CS-144 in. Order one today from the Extreme Duty Dual Rectifier Page! Click Here

Just disconnect the negative battery terminal at the battery, remove the belt, disconnect the battery cable at the alternator, remove rear bracket bolt, remove two lower mounting bolts & pry alternator out, then un-plug regulator plug at alternator.

On this vehicle the rear mount was just a thin sheet metal mount so we just bent it back for clearance. Some models have a heavier rear bracket that may have to be removed. Install the CS-144 unit in place of the CS-130D, install belt, plug in adapter harness, connect battery wire at alternator and at the battery, your done! It's just that easy to get the power and reliability you need.
