Upgrade 1995-2001 GM Vehicles with the 2.2L motor using the CS130D Alternator to the Dual Rectifier CS144 type alternator.

Before

After

The vehicle that this swap was done on was a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire with the 2.2 motor. The swap was very easy, the huge dual rectifier fit directly in place of the existing alternator without any modifications to the brackets. The only difference in mounting is that the rear mount from the CS-130D could not be reconnected, but the CS-144 is such a stable alternator it doesn't require the rear mount. We also trimmed the hood insulation for fan clearance.
